Once again earning the top rank in the large brand-size category of the Hearst Connecticut Media Top Workplaces survey, the Stamford-based job search company has proven it knows a thing or two about the importance of retaining top talent.
Thirteen years later, Indeed pegs itself as the No. 1 job site, garnering more than 200 million monthly unique visitors with 5, 000 global employees. The site is available in 60 countries and in 28 languages.
Starting with just half a floor and 50 employees in 2011, Indeed’s Stamford office has expanded to six floors and is currently building out two additional floors to accommodate 750 employees, up from 600 last year.

“Our goal, every day, is to help a job seeker find a job, ” Senior Vice President Paul Wolfe said. “There’s a human connection there that is at the real core DNA of our culture and that’s what drives our culture.”
As one of the company’s flagship offices, the Stamford location has been a core part of these efforts, and has become a great place to work.

Kaishon Holloway, 23, is a senior client strategist at Indeed. “I love my job at Indeed because I’m empowered to be my authentic self every day, which allows me to bring my full range of technical skills and personality to work, ” Holloway said.
New to the Indeed work scene, Chelsea Cwirka, 29, is an office manager joining the company just seven months ago. “I love my job as office manager because I am allowed to express my creativity and provide my office with exciting and fun ways to enjoy where we work, ” Cwirka said.
Overlooking the vibrant downtown district, the Stamford office offers a laid-back atmosphere with standing desks, breakfast every day, and catered lunch on Wednesdays.
No Effort Exists To Oppose Connecticut Early Voting Amendment
“There are a lot of things we do to make sure our employees are comfortable here at Indeed. Other than sleeping, your office is a place you spend the majority of your time at. So we really want to create an environment that’s comfortable with soft seating areas so you can go sit on the couch and work. And we give our employees the option of sitting or standing desks, or both, with a convertible desk option, ” Wolfe said.
